Managing Your Site

How to log into your site

There are several way to login:

1. Use the login button above

2. if you used a sub-domain during signup then use:

YourSiteName.eztimerental.site/wp-admin

3. If you have your own domain name then use:

YourDomain.com/wp-admin

How to add your logo

To Change the default logo to your site logo

1. Sign into your dashboard

2. On the left menu bar look for the option “Divi” under that select “Theme Options”

3. On the right screen you will see a section called “Logo” & “Favicon”

From there you can upload your logo and favicon images.

Do not forget to press “Save” before leaving the screen.

How to change your site name

To change your site name and tagline if need

1. Log into your site.

2. On the left menu look for “Settings” under that clik on “General”

3. On the top of the screen enter in the desired name & tagline

4. Scroll to the bottom and click save.

How to add a new page to your site.

To add a new page to your site:

1. Log into your site.

2. On the left menu look for “Pages” under that click on “Add New”

3. On the top of the page on the right side give your page a title.

4. Click on “Use Divi Builder

5. Use the Divi builder to ad the grid styling that you would like

6. Enter in all your site content.

7. When finished click “Publish” to make your site live or “Save as a Draft” to continue editing later.

How to add a new post to your site

To add a new post to your site also known as a blog post:

1. Log into your site.

2. On the left menu look for “Post” under that click on “Add New”

3. On the top of the page on the right side give your post a title.

4. Write your blog post content

5. If you would like to add an image for you blog post on the bottom right side of the screen use the option “Featured Image” and click on “Set Featured Image” to upload an image.

5. When finished click “Publish” to make your post live or “Save as a Draft” to continue editing later.

How to add, change or rearrange your website menu

To make changes to your website main menu:

1. Log into your site.

2. On the left menu look for “Appearance” under that click on “Menu”

From this screen you will be able to drag & drop your pages in the order that you want. You can also add pages to your menu, or add links to external sites if you like.

How to customize the look and feel of your site

Your website comes with a powerful website editor that can be used two ways.

Pages can be edited from within your site admin control panel, To do this:

1. Login

2. On the left menu bar select “Pages”

3. Find the page you would like to edit.

4. Place your mouse on the page you would like to edit and you will see an edit option.

From this screen your site will display as in a grid mode and you can build your page by adding sections and modules to a page.

 

The other way to to edit the look and feel of your site is by the front end visual editor. To do so:

1. Login into your site

2. Go to the front pages of your site

3. Go to the page you would like to edit

4. on the top black menu bar select “Enable Visual Builder”

5. Make changes to the page.

6. When done click “Exit Visual Builder”

You then will be prompted to either Cacnel & Exit or Save & Exit.

Click “Save & Exit”

Your changes to your page have now been saved and is live.

How to add additional plugins to your site.

**It is recommended that before you install any plugins that you take a backup of your site within your dashboard in case you have to back out due to a site crash after the plugin install**

To add additional WordPress or third party plugins to your site:

Login to your site

On the left menu bar look for “Plugins” then under that select “Add New”

If installing from the WordPress plugin Directory

1. On the new page you will find the option to search the WordPress directory for new plugins to install

2. After finding the plugin you would like to install click the “Install” button of the plugin

3. After the plugin has been installed the button will now change to “Activate” click on it to activate the plugin.

The plugin has now been installed and activated. Follow the vendors instructions to configure the plugin and complete the new features on your site.

If Installing a plugin that you have or downloaded from some where else

  1. On the same page look for the “Upload Plugin” button above
  2. Browse to where you have the plugin
  3. You will be taken to a screen that tells you that the plugin has been installed successfully. (If the plugin did not install you will have to reach out to the vendor of the plugin for more trouble shooting tips.)
  4. If the plugin installed successfully you will see an option to “Activate” the plugin. Click on that.

The plugin has now been installed and activated. Follow the vendors instructions to configure the plugin and complete the new features on your site.
